Biodiversity refers to the variety of life in the world around us. Here in Northeast Ohio, we have many diverse ecosystems that contain a multitude of species and their niches. Your students can become familiar with the biodiversity of our region by using our brand-new Biodiversity Mini Kit created by our Walsh University Intern, Myla Demko. Myla’s vision was to create a STEAM kit with an emphasis on developing students’ science, English language arts, and engineering knowledge, confidence, and abilities. Beginning with the very basics of observational and inquiry-based learning, Myla designed this kit to align with the Museum’s ProtectCLE (Protecting Cleveland’s Living Environment) initiative. This Mini Kit was developed in collaboration with Walsh University and made possible by the generous support of the Ohio Lottery Commission.
